Hi, my name is Samuel Jackson. I am excited to be the new intern for The Coworking Center and to see what it has to offer. I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland with my mom and two brothers. Growing up I was very active, I played soccer and lacrosse until I graduated high school. After high school, I went off to join the military. In the Marine Corps, I was a motor transport operator/driver. This gave me a lot of opportunities to travel and learn new skills. 

I was not sure exactly what the future had in store for me, so I began to explore different job opportunities. None of these jobs seemed to be what I had in mind for a career. I knew at that point I needed to go back to school and find something I truly enjoyed. One thing that I found out about myself is that I love motorsports. After doing some research, I found out how much knowledge and money it takes to build a race car. I read about UNOH’s high-performance automotive degree and knew I had to come to Lima to go to school. After receiving my associate’s degree in high-performance automotive, I wanted to continue my education. I enrolled in UNOH’s bachelor’s degree program for specialized studies in business with a concentration in marketing. This opened my eyes to how many opportunities were available that truly seemed interesting to me. Marketing was one of those topics that jumped out at me. I love how you have to put yourself in someone else's shoes and solve their problems or potential problems. It changes the way you look at almost everything. 

The school has shown me so much and one thing I've learned is the importance of the speed we communicate and the difference it can make. Social media utilizes the ability to connect with each other and businesses at the speed of light. This has helped marketing become something that we cannot keep up with. Being able to use what I have learned in school and apply it to a business situation is crucial to my growth as a digital marketer. I am so thankful for this opportunity and excited to soak up all the information that The Coworking Center has to offer.
