Dr. Marin Harbur holds M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Agronomy -- the science of growing crops while sustaining the environment.  She works both as a data analyst for a major agribusiness and as a lecturer in agriculture at Iowa State University.  She has analyzed countless studies, authored a dozen articles, taught hundreds of students, and received $1.5 million in grant awards.  She is proudest, though of her her spouse and two children.

She loves to cook, listen to jazz and other improvisational music, and occasionally reads for pleasure.

Dr. Harbur also volunteers with Lima Sprouts, an organization that is dedicated to training urban farmers and increasing access to fresh and local produce in the community.
